The Department of Training & Placement is the backbone of any institution. From the very beginning the JSPM’s Jayawant Institute of Pharmacy place greater emphasis on Industrial Training and Practical Training for Pharmacy students.
Our Institute holds the pride of place being pioneers in the field of Pharmacy. We have been continuously ranked among the elite by our peers and it is my sincere belief that our esteemed organization, JSPM’s Jayawant Institute of Pharmacy stands to gain immensely from this symbiotic relationship The Training & Placement Cell takes up the role of facilitator between potential employers and students. It ensures that the students get information on companies and sectors of their interest. The Training & Placement Committee makes pitches to new companies and makes them aware of rapid developments helping in our Institute. Expert lectures & Industrial sessions are hosted by the placement Committee. It also ensures that the students get the Practical Training in Excellent Hospital that provides good exposure and learning. The cell organizes pre placement workshops for enhancing the technical and soft skills of students by inviting prominent consultants and senior executive or experts from leading industries. Students are encouraged to take up practical training and gather hands-on experience on the Patient Counseling and Entrepreneurship applications. Special training Programme is arranged in the latest technology management related areas to improve knowledge of students and faculty. Many Pool Campus Drives were organized by JSPM’s Jayawant Institute of Pharmacy in which various national and multinational companies participated. Almost 2500 participants from different colleges from different areas of Maharashtra tried their luck, in the end a great number of candidates were short listed for the final selection. Our training placement cell prepares the students by providing them the technical and reasoning knowledge in the form of question papers and also arranges mock group discussion sessions or orals and interviews.
At JSPM’s Jayawant Institute of Pharmacy, Pune, we take care to groom our students according to the needs of the industry. We seek to open frontiers of knowledge and reveal new horizons of change, to create positive attitudes in our students. Our students get a lot of industrial exposure by their frequent industrial visits. Besides, our Diploma students undergo an Three Months practical training in their vacations in reputed Hospitals and Pharmacy, as part of their academic requirements.
